NCRPA Virtual Learning Workshop - Progress vs. Perfection: Pre-Accreditation Tips for ALL - Attendee Registration

Progress vs. Perfection: Pre-Accreditation Tips for ALL is a practical virtual workshop designed for park and recreation professionals who are curious about accreditation and want to start preparing now — even if applying feels years away. You’ll get a clear, approachable introduction to the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) through the National Recreation and Park Association, along with realistic first steps agencies of any size can take to begin building a foundation for a potential future accreditation.

We’ll focus on progress over perfection — introducing what readiness actually looks like and simple actions you can research to start implementing right away within your programs, operations, and agency culture. Whether you’re exploring CAPRA for the first time or looking to organize early efforts, you’ll leave with simple tips to begin your journey.

Discussion topics will include a brief intro into the importance of CAPRA, insight from a recently accredited and reaccredited agency, view an example standard and discuss becoming a visitor.

Who should attend?  Ideal for agency leaders, supervisors, and staff who support operations, planning, programs, or administration and want to position their department for long-term success.
