
Playground Maintenance Course - Attendee Registration
Are you looking to make your community's playgrounds safer? The National Recreation and Park Association's Playground Maintenance Course is a one-day (6.25 hour) educational course that covers the following topics
- an overview of playground safety standards and guidelines,
- playground owner responsibilities, and
- maintenance discussions on playground equipment, surfacing, and site items.

Location: Rankin Lake Park, 1750 Rankin Lake Road, Gastonia, NC 28052
Date: September 30, 2025 9:30am - 3:00pm
Registration Deadline: September 20, 2025.
Fee: $185 for members; $250 for non-members
- To receive the discounted member rate, you must log into your membership account prior to registering for the event. If you register at the non-member rate and pay by credit card, we will refund the difference minus a $5 processing fee.

CEUs: The course has been pre-approved for .625 CEUs. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the Playground Maintenance Course

- Section 5: Owners Responsibilities
Learning Objectives:
- Demonstrating an increased awareness of the playground safety standards and guidelines.
- Identifying the need for maintenance of playgrounds, surfacing and site items in play areas.
- Implementing playground maintenance practices.
Class Size: Space is limited. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis.
