Ken Hisler, CPRP
President
Raleigh Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources

Ken is an Assistant Director with Raleigh Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources and 25 of his 30 years in the industry have been with the city.  His commitment to the profession includes serving as the President Elect for NCRPA, many years on the conference curriculum committee, and previously on the Advocacy Committee.


Nationally, he is a member of the NRPA Conference Planning Committee, Board of Regents for Supervisors Management School, and beginning his third term with Maintenance Management School. He and his wife Sharon, have been married for 28 years, live in Raleigh, and have two adult children.

Cindi King, CPRP
President-Elect
Morrisville Parks & Recreation 

Cindi is a seasoned professional with 25+ years of experience and is currently the Assistant Director for the Town of Morrisville. Formerly, she served as Director for the Town of Southern Pines, where she successfully managed numerous initiatives with a pragmatic approach. Her passion evolved through her college years leading her to a series of roles—including Aquatic Director, Facility Supervisor, Recreation Manager, and Director—each deepening her commitment to the profession.

Cindi is an active member of NCPRA, where she served in regional leadership roles, held positions as Secretary and Treasurer on the Executive Board, contributed to various committees, and received the NCRPA Young Professional and Meritorious Award. A steadfast advocate for Parks and Recreation, she believes in its value, affirming the field offers something for everyone.

Megan Keul, CPRP

Member - Professional Development
Kannapolis Parks and Recreation 

Megan Keul works with the City of Kannapolis, NC Parks and Recreation with 10 years of experience in the industry. She has worked in a variety of municipalities across the Carolinas overseeing economic development, communications and marketing, and special events and programming. Megan has presented across the country on various park and recreation topics at a national level and been named a 2024 “30 Under 30” award winner by the National Recreation and Park Association. She loves working in the public sector serving the community and providing a variety of experiences to create new opportunities for patrons establishing their sense of place.

Every year a President-Elect is selected to serve a three year term and either the Professional Development or At-Large Board member is selected for a two year term.  Nominations for these positions are accepted year round with decisions made in early fall.

Chamreece Diggs, CPRP

Past President

Greensboro Parks & Recreation

Chamreece is a proud graduate of NCA & TSU with a degree in Recreation Administration and earned her MBA from UNCG. A Certified Parks and Recreation Professional, with 12 years of experience, Chamreece is the Special Programs Superintendent with Greensboro Parks and Recreation. She supervises Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation, Active Adults, Greensboro Youth Council, and Aquatics.

Chamreece believes in enriching the field of parks and recreation through innovation, exploration, and collaboration. She prides herself on being equity focused, people oriented, progressive, and a creative critical thinker.

Andy Stahr, CPRE,
Member - DEI
Gastonia Parks & Recreation

Andy currently serves as the Senior Administrative Services Coordinator for the City of Gastonia, focusing on finance, grants, special projects, and facilities.  He has over 20 years of experience in the public and non-profit parks and recreation sectors.  Andy  serves the profession as an AAPRA mentor, CAPRA visitor, and CPRE/CPRP Certification Committee member.  Since their inception, he has been involved with the NRPA Equity in Practice program and Gastonia's DEI Champion Team.  Andy believes that the field of Parks and Recreation allows us to create opportunities for all people to build relationships and make lasting memories.
