Happy Monday,

As we often discuss, physical activity has increasingly become a vital component to promote in our communities. My current blog discusses a new addition to the Wellness Initiative toolkit. The page is dedicated towards Physical ActivityPrograms, sharing information and ideas on how you can promote more physical activity in your department and community! The Physical Activity Programs page has information regarding training for staff, run/walk groups, smartphone apps for physical activity, family game nights, and workplace wellness. To read more please read my blog.

Please take the time to review the Physical Activity Programs page. If you have any additions or ideas, then email us or submit them on the wellness site here: (, It is an awesome concept that recreation and park agencies can become the community leaders; take advantage and make a difference in your community.

One last note, the Wellness Webinars will start back up in August. To gather more information on how we can improve the offerings for the Wellness Webinar, please take this quick survey: appreciate any feedback because ultimately it helps us serve your needs better.
