NCRPA is excited to partner with Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources to bring a unique training opportunity to members.. Raleigh is bringing Dr. Gale K. Gorke of Kids Kan Inc a nationally recognized speaker to present a series of sessions February 21st. 

 

For each session, Raleigh has made 35 seats available for NCRPA members to attend. If you would like to attend,  please register ASAP, but no later than Feberuary 19th. 2020– First Come, First Served. Members can register for one, two, or both sessions.

 

Member Cost: $45 up to 0.4 CEUs will be Awarded. LUNCH IS NOT PROVIDED

Student Member: $15

Non-Member Cost: $85

Morning Session-8:30-12pm | 0.2 CEUs

Self- Care and Culture and Diversity

Practicing self-care can help the ups and downs of life. Come share in activities and practices that can help you to reduce your stress and enhance your overall well-being: essentially, proactively taking care of yourself.  Learn practices and behaviors that help you feel refreshed, re-energized, and rested. Come learn to find and live your life with purpose. Gain an understanding of what constitutes a culture.  Learn how to establish a climate and use activities that encourage interaction and understanding across cultures.  Learn how various influences, i.e.: socio-economic challenges, biases, prejudice, etc. can be addressed and understood in a safe and caring environment.

 

Afternoon Session- 1:30-5:00 | 0.2 CEUs

Communication Skills/Customer Service and then Conflict Resolution & Peer Mediation

Practice basic communication skills.  Gain an understanding of the importance of customer service and how to enhance employee skills in this area. 

Experience high energy activities that build teams, solve problems, and resolve conflicts.  Learn to develop these skills in yourself and others.

NCRPA offers members a discounted rate on most educational workshops.  To receive this rate, you must first log into your membership account and then register for the event.  If you register at the nonmember rate and pay by credit card, we will gladly refund the difference minus a $5 processing fee.  If you need a refund or assistance with any registration please email info@ncrpa.net.
