NCRPA Recreation Programs Summit

The NCRPA Recreation Programs Summit will be held March 31st and April 1st, 2020 in Greensboro, NC. This year we are excited to feature SaulPaul. For the last decade, SaulPaul has earned an international reputation as a "Musician with a Message" known for entertaining, inspiring and empowering audiences across the globe. He's performed at the National Recreation and Park Association Conference in 2018, some of the world's most esteemed music festivals and lectured at some of America's top universities.

Planning effective youth programs with trauma in mind is a specialized training under the "Trauma Informed Culture" umbrella. This training focuses on incorporating research based best practices into the planning process and implementation of youth oriented programs in order to serve the social-emotional needs of youth in our communities.

Mobile Recreation is rolling into a community near you! Have you been looking for ways to bring recreational offerings to your communities that lack close proximity to parks and facilities? Learn how to implement Mobile Recreation Unit (MRU) programming in an affordable way to increase your community’s recreational involvement. 

 

Building Your Department through Talent Development Strategies - Asheville
Hiring staff has become a reactionary process. Talent development strategies create a proactive approach to develop qualified and prepared internal candidates to fill the roles left by retirees, those pursuing other opportunities, or filling new department needs.

 

A Plethora of Park Programming Possibilities - Greensboro, Durham
This program will introduce participants to ways to increase interest and retention levels during environmental education programming, as well as serve as a discussion forum with which to trade activity ideas. There will be hands-on activities and takeaways. This will be an interactive presentation.

Workshop Member Rates Information
NCRPA offers members a discounted rate on most educational workshops.  To receive this rate, you must first log into your membership account and then register for the event.  If you register at the nonmember rate and pay by credit card, we will gladly refund the difference minus a $5 processing fee.  If you need a refund or assistance with any registration please email info@ncrpa.net.
