Join us on Thursday, October 10th for our Parks, Recreation, and Sports Field Maintenance Workshop! This one day event brings together parks and recreation professionals, maintenance staff, commercial partners and more, to discuss the trends, best practices and prepare your for the fall maintenance season. Two sessions and facilitated demos, hands on activities and a facility tour will will take place during this full-day affair. Irrigation Troubleshooting with Brad Comer and Todd Dovel
Brad and Todd will discuss the best practices of irrigation troubleshooting for Park and Recreation professionals. The class will be dynamic and interactive with questions on member specific irrigation dilemmas welcomed. The session will cover everything from problems with pumps, mainlines, controllers, and everything in between the water source to the sprinkle head.
Cultivation Best Practices with Jeff Corn
Jeff is a classically trained turf grass professional, working as a golf course superintendent for much of his long career. The prestigious Charlotte Country Club being his final post. Jeff has a wealth of knowledge pertaining turf grass that will be of great significance to the Park and Recreation professional. The session will cover cultivation best practices. Everything from when, where, why, and how to aerate properly, to de-compacting heavily trafficked areas, and everything in between. Feel free to use Jeff as your turf guru during the session as questions and specific issues are welcomed.
