It is July which means its Park and Recreation Month, and NCRPA is following the lead of our friends at the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and challenging everyone to get their play on with their local parks and recreation.

NCRPA is celebrating with by "running" its fourth annual #ParksBaton. Follow along at www.instagram.com/ncrpa as NCRPA members highlight how their department is Getting their Play On this July! We have filled all the spots to carry the #ParksBaton in July, but we have decided to continue the fun through the summer. #PlayOnJuly Networking Events
NCRPA will also be celebrating Park and Recreation Month with fun networking events across the state at the end of the month. We hope you can join us at one of our events to network with your peers and celebrate Parks and Recreation Month.

Also, to celebrate Park and Recreation Month, NRPA is hosting a weekly contest encouraging people to share why play is so important in their lives. NRPA also encourages all people that support parks and recreation to share why they think play is so important with the hashtag #PlayOnJuly.
