Happy Monday!

I hope everyone is enjoying the first week of August! My past couple blogs have discussed ways to implement healthy eating among your community, staff and department. However, it is important to also think about ways to encourage a healthy lifestyle in a manner that is positive and motivating. My current blog discusses how children can be picky when it comes to eating healthy food options. Check out my current blog for ideas on how to engage children in activities and conversations that lead to healthy food choices. These ideas can be shared with your department and members in your community.

Remind your department and community that leading by example is the best way to encourage children to eat healthy!

If you have any ideas of encouraging healthy food, then please share by submitting or emailing your ideas on thewellnesssite here: (,
