Last week I had the opportunity to attend the 2015 NCRPA Marketing Summit in Durham, NC. The day was full of helpful information, primarily focusing on how digital media has begun to replace traditional mediums such as direct mail, handbills and newsletters. The sessions were dedicated to addressing marketing for your organization, media/marketing plans and the basics of using social media.
My current blog discusses why digital media is relevant for health and wellness. To read more on how your department can utilize Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest, then please click the following link:http://tinyurl.com/pur8zq8
Lastly, this following Wednesday, April 29th, will be our next wellness webinar. Our host, Beth Farrell,Thomasville Parks & Recreation, will be providing information regarding the Memorial Park Community Garden project. Please register here:
We can inspire our communities through the use of the internetby sharing health related information and providing tools to empower change in their daily lives. If you have any ideas on using social media as a positive reinforcement, then please email us or submit them on the wellness site here: (firstname.lastname@example.org,http://www.ncrpa.net/?Wellnesssub).
