March 2nd, 2015

Happy March,

Spring is right around the corner, which means more activities for outdoors! My current blog discusses points highlighted in last week’s webinar that was presented by Scott Knox, Morrisville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources, discussing the creation of run groups and 5K races training programs.

Scott emphasizes multiple positive benefits from creating a run group program. Not only do run groups promote recreational and wellness, but help increase awareness of trails and ease of access in your community. Scott went over key points, such as getting started, who to reach out to, and other helpful information of organizing run groups and 5K training programs.

Read my blog to learn more about run groups and how to get started: http://tinyurl.com/oex8uax

Also if you would like to view the webinar, then please click the following link: https://vimeo.com/121048064

Scott was extremely helpful with the information that he shared, so make sure to take advantage of it all! Please email or submit any run group or training for a 5k information that you may have so we can add it to our wellness toolkit! (colleen@ncrpa.net,http://www.ncrpa.net/?Wellnesssub)
