Good Afternoon,

My current blog focuses on helping parks and recreation agencies provide healthy eating and cooking information in local communities. Many people may not eat healthy due to lack of proper nutrition information, difficulties accessing affordable healthy foods, or because of other various factors. As a parks and recreation agencies we should strive to help break some of those barriers.

Read my blog for ideas on how to train staff on proper nutrition, and who to reach out to in your community regarding healthy cooking and nutrition programs. Knowledge is power, so make sure to stay up-to-date with current healthy eating and lifestyle information. Please note that our Wellness Initiative webpage and Healthy Cooking and Nutrition Programs are two resources for your department to access tools and current information regarding creating a healthier community.
