There are numerous certifications that park and recreation professionals may wish to obtain. 

Certified Park & Recreation Professional

Certified Park & Recreation Executive

NC Recreational Therapy Licensure

On August 23, 2005, The General Assembly passed the NC Recreational Therapy Licensure Act. Under this new regulation, all persons practicing recreational therapy or therapeutic recreation must be licensed by the NC Board of Recreational Therapy in order to aid in safeguarding the public.
