NC Recreation and Parks Scholarship Foundation
Founded in 1973 the NC Recreation and Parks Scholarship Foundation provides financial assistance in the form of scholarships to qualified and deserving students who are pursuing an education for a career in the recreation and parks profession and to qualified professionals seeking continuing education for career enhancement. Areas of educational emphasis include, but are not limited to, curricula in municipal and county recreation, local and state parks, therapeutic and forestry. We currently have 6 named undergraduate scholarships and 1 named graduate scholarship that are awarded annually. Donations to the scholarship foundation are tax-deductible.

Scholarship & Grant Recipients
The NC Recreation & Park Scholarship Foundation recently awarded $11,000 in scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a parks and recreation curriculum in NC and professional development grants, 1 for the NCRPA Conference and 1 for NRPA Conference. In addition to coordinating the application and award process, this group of volunteers raises funds to support the scholarships. Check out the winners below!
