Good Morning!

Fall has practically arrived! Athletics are in full swing, as well as the harvest of fall produce. With the change of the season, we can also look forward to a change in our weather. This change can make being outside a lot more tolerable. Cooler temperatures offer a great opportunity to get outside and be active, as well to eat some great fall produce.  To find out some ideas for fall fitness, check out the NCRPA Wellness Blog.

Please stay tuned for our next Wellness Webinar: “Get Going with Pokemon Go” tomorrow, Tuesday September 20th at 1:00 pm. This webinar will be hosted by myself and NCRPA Fellow, Nicole Miller.  We will discuss the phenomenon of Pokemon Go, show examples of departments that are successfully implementing Pokemon Go into promotions and programs, how recreation departments can embrace it to encourage physical and emotional wellness, and more. This webinar will give you a roadmap to make the most out of Pokemon Go in your community. To register, please click the following link:

Diquan's Weekly Wellness Tip!

Fall is my favorite time of the year, mostly because it means football season is finally here. This week, the weekly wellness tip is a recipe of one of my favorite game-day foods. This turkey chili is a staple in my house for sitting back, relaxing, and watching some Philadelphia Eagles football. Ground turkey is a great lean substitute for ground beef, and the chili is great for a nice fall afternoon.

Until next time,
