If you did not know, September is Better Breakfast Month! Better Breakfast is a very important part of the Wellness Initiative for a multitude of reasons. We learned as children that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It gives our minds and bodies the fuel we need to start the day off right. This month, the Wellness Initiative would like to encourage your department to engage in “Better Breakfast” practices. To learn more about the importance of eating a nutritious breakfast, and what your department can do to encourage better breakfast in your community, please read the NCRPA Wellness Blog.

Diquan's Weekly Wellness Tip!
I have decided to use the Wellness Bulletin to give our readers some weekly wellness tips! Every week, I will highlight something I find interesting that pertains to wellness. This could be anything from a cool trail to hike, to a healthy recipe. This week, the tip is a hike to Catawba Falls in Old Fort, NC. It is a 2 mile hike to a beautiful waterfall. I had the opportunity to hike this trail earlier this year, and the falls definitely do not disappoint.
