Breaking the Ice with playful and engaging activities

This will be an outdoor classroom setting at a ropes challenge course, where participants will get general background for experiential education, and learn the importance of sequencing activities for trainings and camps, numerous low (and no) prop activities to use for ice breakers, get to know you activities, cooperative games, and more.  This workshop will be high energy and interactive.  Dress for being outdoors, the entire program will be outside and/or under picnic shelter, in or around the creeks and on natural surface trail.

Learning outcomes - Attendees will learn:

  • Teaching and facilitation for small and large groups of various populations
  • Benefits of Experiential Education
  • Tips, tools, games and ice breaker activities to use to incorporate into staff trainings and summer camp programs
